On September 3, 2012, China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group’s Meeting of Cadres was ceremoniously held in the multi-function hall of the Energy Conservation Building. Director-General Song Yachen, Deputy Director-General Wang Wubin and other leaders of the Second Bureau for the Administration of Corporate Executives of the SASAC attended the meeting. A total of more than 200 people attended the meeting, including all the directors of the Board of Directors of the Group, all members of the leading group of the company, personnel with a position above deputy section chief in the Group’s headquarters, leading group members of secondary companies inside Beijing and Communist Party leaders of secondary companies outside Beijing. The meeting announced the decisions on the appointment and dismissal made by the SASAC and its Party committee. The meeting was presided over by Chen Jinen, Party Committee Secretary of the Group.
President Wang Xiaokang delivered an important speech at the meeting. He said that today was an extremely important day in the development of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group, and the meeting today was also a very important meeting in the development of the Group. Firstly, we thanked the SASAC for its concern, support and help to CECEP. The SASAC made important decisions, Comrade Wang Tongzhou would served as Director of the Board of Directors of the Group, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC, as well as General Manager of the Group, and this was the concrete embodiment of the concern for CECEP shown by SASAC’s Party committee, SASAC’s leaders and Second Bureau for the Administration of Corporate Executives’ leaders. Secondly, thanks should be turned into action. CECEP was in a stage of high-speed growth, and it was also facing huge challenge and complex environment in this stage, thus SASAC’s concern for CECEP would become our pressure and motivation. We should take advantage of this opportunity and have second thoughts about our works for development. The first thing was to fully support the general manager’s work. He hoped that all the staff, all members of the leading group must “think highly, treat very kindly, cooperate sincerely, support fully”. The second thing was to further strengthen the construction of leading groups, so as to push forward the construction of leading bodies at all levels in the Group and improve the ranks of staff. The third thing was to earnestly do a good job in two important tasks, namely elevating management and upgrading transformation, and better solve the difficulties and problems encountered in operation and management. Finally, on behalf of the Board of Directors, the administrative group and all the staff, President Wang Xiaokang expressed his high respect and sincere thanks to Comrade Yu Hailong for his outstanding contributions to CECEP. He believed that under the leadership of Comrade Wang Tongzhou, the whole administrative group would continue to carry forward the fine traditions and work style that existed during the period when Comrade Yu Hailong served as the general manager, and under the strong leadership of the Board of Directors and With strong support from the Party committee, Comrade Wang Tongzhou would lead all the members of the administrative group and all the staff to keep up the good work and continue to struggle, so as to achieve our ambitious objectives, and make CECEP an internationally competitive world-class enterprise and a excellent central enterprise respected by the world.
Director-General Wang Wubin read out the circular of appointment and dismissal issued by the SASAC of the State Council and the SASAC’s Party committee at the meeting. Comrade Wang Tongzhou was appointed as Director of the China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group and Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC, and meanwhile, with the nomination made by the SASAC and the decision made by the Board of Directors of the Group, Comrade Wang Tongzhou should serve as the General Manager of the China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group. Comrade Yu Hailong should retire in accordance with provisions.
